What is this?
- We have created an new MOD for Joint Ops. With the JO:TAC Launcher you can only play this new MOD
- There is also an alternate way to play Online via a new “Online”, function
Why did you do this?
- Many people bought the game from Steam, but cannot play on NovaWorld, since the Account Registration is broken. With this new MOD, those people can now also play Multiplayer with others!
- It’s been a hassle, to install and get started with installing the Mods. But now, we have one easy way for everyone
What is this new Online feature?
- This feature was implemented, in order to keep playing Joint Ops also when the NovaWorld Servers are down
- So, you don’t need a Novaworld Account, nor you need to login, in order to play with the Online function
- in Ping matters it should be much better as we’ve doubled the UDP Packet Stream
Are you allowed of doing this at all?
- We ask players, to buy a official Copy of Joint Ops from Steam
- We only release Joint Operations: Tactical Assault Coalition (JO:TAC), if THQ Nordic knows about it and supports it
- Also note that Joint Ops is already working with GameRanger. We are using the same system as GameRanger, just a bit easier for the user
What else are you up to?
- If we get enough players, we are considering to put up a central US-Based Server
- We have more new function on our mind, but first we need to have the OK from THQ
